Little Hands
Artist: Hundred Hands
Label: Deep Elm Records
Length: 6 tracks, length: 22:24

Despite this band's pedigree, this is a fairly disappointing outing.

Hundred Hands is a side project of Appleseed Cast members Aaron Pillar and Chris Crisci, along with producer Ed Rose.  While Appleseed Cast has released album after album of top quality music (some of which was produced by Rose), this project just doesn't have the same energy.

The six songs on this disc tend to have a sleepy, droning sound that runs throughout, and with virtually the same beat on many of the songs, they begin to sound too much alike after awhile.

The best songs on the disc are "A Replay" and "Washed Away," which features a gem of a line:

"I'm sleeping the hope that the hopeless hope"

Lyrically the album fares pretty well and most of the songs deal with issues of hopelessness and questioning.  Unfortunately, however, the music doesn't hold it up.
