  Still On Hold
Artist: Pacifico
Label: Vapid Records
Tracks: 9 Tracks/34:04

The North Georgia Christian rock scene has produced luminaries as diverse as Luxury, Smalltown Poets and Luti-Kriss. Now, fresh from their hometown of Marietta, come Georgia’s next big thing, Pacifico. With production and engineering expertly done by Matt Goldman of Piltdown Man fame, Pacifico’s debut record, Still on Hold is a nice blend of mid-90s garage rock and mid-70s glam rock.

Lead singer Matt Schwartz has a fine sense of melody and a penchant for glitter lyrics ("We won’t die; we’ll just multiply!" he croaks near the beginning of the album), and the rest of the band is tight and talented enough to serve as more than just his backing group. Hopefully these guys will break soon and break big.
