June
Releases
There's a boat load of new
releases coming out this month. On June 4th is the first full length
release in two years from Belle & Sebastian titled Storytelling.
Also out that day are The Suitcase from Duraluxe, the long awaited
Los Lobos disc Good Morning Atzlan. On June 11th DMZ Records,
the label started by T-Bone Burnett and the Coen Brothers, releases its
first disc, the self-titled cd from Ralph Stanley. Stanley was the
man behind much of the success of the O Brother Where Art Thou?
Soundtrack. Also out that day is Brian Wilson's Pet Sounds Live
and David Bowie's Heathen. June 18th sees the European release
of the new 16 Horsepower disc Folklore as well as new discs from
Coldplay, Chuck Prophet, and Our Lady Peace. Then on the 25th its
"Best of" compilations from Juliana Hatfield and Nanci Griffith.
