Mueller's
Musings: A Look at August Releases
The heart of the summer is
here and things are heating up in August. On August 6th we'll see
the U.S. release of the wonderful 16 Horsepower disc "Folklore," which
has been out in Europe for about a month. Also of note that day is
the new Victoria Williams disc of old standards. On the 13th it's
the release of Jay Farrar's solo EP, as well as another self-released disc
from songstress Aimee Mann, and a long awaited Poor Old Lu disc.
Highlights for the 20th include two, count 'em, two new discs from Frank
Black and the Catholics, as well as Blindsides debut disc for Elektra.
Also that day is the latest from the Rock and Roll Worship Circus.
And finally, on August 27th we get to hear new discs from Coldplay, Morella's
Forest, and the Black Crowes, as well as a special re-release of POD's
"Satellite" which includes three new songs and an extra DVD of videos and
concert footage.
