More Live Artist: Crystal Lewis Label: Metro1 Music Length: 15/74:05 Crystal Lewis stretches a little on _More Live_. The band here allows her to take more of a jazzy approach than her typical CCM fare. She wavers into 70’s disco influences at times, almost sounding like Donna Summer. The hits are here “Beauty for Ashes,” “God’s Been Good to Me,” “Lord, I Believe in You,” and “People Get Ready, Jesus is Comin’” will be familiar to most. There isn’t anything here that really stands out as Lewis gets older, she continues to explore different styles, but most of it is still Christian radio, adult contemporary and young woman-oriented. She closes with a couple of covers: “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power” and the Andrae Crouch classic “My Tribute.” Bottom line, if you are a Lewis fan, you will enjoy this.
