  The Lone Flower
Sackcloth Fashion
Syntax Records
18 tracks at 75:45 minutes/seconds

Not many hip hop groups can boast of the talent pool of Sackcloth Fashion. Steven Trudeau, Tim Trudeau, Kaitlyn Cassels, Byron Musser, Brandon Musser did the writing, arranging, producing, recording, and every other thing associated with making this an outstanding recording.

The song flavors are all over the chart, but cooked in a delectable hip hop stew. The tracks are very catchy, creative, and thoughtful. A cup of De-La-Soul's experimentation, a tablespoon of Dee-Lite's sultry fun dance beats, a stick of Beck's smooth cool rock are a few of the tasty influences one may hear in the CD's melodic recipe. The lyrics are smart, well crafted, and delivered with true emotion and credibility. Every song is an exotic and sweetened piece of Sackcloth Fashion's musical dish.

As the cover art illustrates, The Lone Flower is a shining beauty in the dark, hard world of hip hop music.
