  Think About That
Artist: George Rowe
Label: Rocketown Records
Length: 10/41:30

If the publicity agents at Rocketown Records have any clue as to how this industry works (and it’s obvious they do), George Rowe will be one those artist that will be ubiquitous in about two years.  Think About That crosses all sorts of genres, from r&b, to light jazz, gospel, adult contemporary, and some standard CCM fare.  In CCM circles he will draw a lot of comparisons to Charlie Peacock, which isn’t surprising considering his executive producer (Brent Bourgeios).

"Think About That,” the title track, centers around the idea of Philippians 4:8, and mixes the styles of the aforementioned Peacock and Stevie Wonder. “Everlasting,” the current single,  shows Rowe’s range, but the overproduction here makes this song sound like everything else on Christian radio the live version of this song would be something to behold.

“We Exalt You” features an amazing piano run to close itself out. “Blessed Assurance” is a fresh take on Romans 7, and the internal struggles of dealing with sin. Rowe’s vocals will fit well into the class of Brian McKnight, Boys II Men, Take 6, and Stevie Wonder.  His ability to perform several different styles (well) will enable him to be a huge hit on Christian radio, and should attract listeners in a variety of audiences.
