Artist: The Jetsuns Label: Underwater Records Length: 6/28:31 The Jetsuns EP Observatory is comprised of six songs that sound a lot like each other. “Gasmask” uses a heavier guitar sound than the rest. Best described as a mix of old Radiohead and Spacehog. An indie band out of Austin, TX, they have been making a name for themselves in that area. Personally, I’ll pull out my Podunk records when I need an Austin fix. Observatory has a muddled mix to it, making the vocals difficult to distinguish. The best track here is probably “2nd Best.” Brian A. Smith 1/8/2004
