Roots
and Stems
Artist: Jeff Trish Label: Independent Length: 13/52:49 Roots and Stems shows that to some people, the '70’s will never die. Mostly acoustic folk pop in the style of Don Francisco or Dan Fogelberg, Jeff Trish comes off like an aging hippie. “Small Town Heroes” is perhaps the highlight, while “Out Past All These Trains” is lyrically in the mode of Bill Mallonee, but musically, the song feels dragged out. Trish also included some of his artwork with the CD, and did the art for the album itself. Fans of early '70’s music will enjoy the album I was more impressed with the artwork. Brian A. Smith
