  Rosemari
Artist: Rosemari
Label: Independent
URL: http://www.rosemarimusic.com
Length: 9/ 35:43

With a voice that at times sounds like teen pop (such as on the first track "First Love") but at other times sounds like a mature singer a la' Nichole Nordeman or Amy Grant (such as on the fifth track "Here With You"), Rosemari debuts on the Christian music scene.  Make no mistake about it, this is a pop CD, but the uniqueness of this CD comes in Rosemari's ability to sound at times like a teen pop vocalist but at other times like a mature female vocalist. Her range is quite possibly one of the top ten among female vocalists in CCM today.

As good as her voice makes the CD, it does have several flaws.  One of the biggest flaws of this project is its short length. The album only has nine tracks and only lasts a little over 35 minutes long and this includes a radio mix and a cover of a classic hymn.  The other flaw in this CD is that it the songs are mostly mid-tempo radio friendly songs, which get tiring and boring after a while.

In the hands of the right producer, Rosemari could be a force within CCM but for right now she is not quite there. Top of the line producers in CCM such as Brown Bannister or Tedd T. would be able to vary the song tempos and feel of the various songs to make a better overall CD, that still let's Rosemari's voice shine.  This is a CD that is worth checking out, but some will like it and some will not.
