Assault
With a Deadly Woman:
Lil' Kim's Lyrical Attack on Teen Minds A songTALK by psychologist, Dr. Bruce L. Thiessen, aka Dr. B.L.T., The Rock Doc & Lyrical Watch Dawg The song (free MP3 download
for Phantom Tollbooth readers):
well, her motto isHere I go again, trying to walk the fine line between righteous indignation and self-righteous condemnation. Let me start by reminding readers that I have no righteousness of my own upon which to stand. It's from that point that I take off, standing on the righteousness of Christ, and on my desire to shield teens and warn parents about Lil' Kim's attack on teen minds. Let the nightmare begin. Here's an example of the lyrical nightmare that's generated when Lil' Kim hooks up with 50 Cent, her "partner in rhyme":See PT 50 Cent article
[50 Cent]Attention editor: if these lyrics are too raunchy to appear in Phantom Tollbooth, please provide this link: http://www.lyricsdepot.com/lil-kim/magic-stick.html Message to teen boys: If you're a guy, it's cool to be a sexually promiscuous. Go ahead and pimp it and pumpt it like 50 Cent if you want to please the ladies. Lust or bust. No regard for consequences. Message to teen girls: To please that young man, you must do as Lil' Kim says she does in this song: give it up, and get as nasty and as often as possible. Don't worry about God's will, just take the pill and chill. Don't worry about STDs, don't worry about where the man has been. Don't worry about consequences. Do we dare move on? QB ya s*** s***t is crazy yoSong: Do What You Like Album: The Notorious K.I.M. Message to teens: Cuss, don't communicate. Violence is cool, racism is cool, the best way to communicate with other homies and to threaten them. Drugs are the way to go. Moms, dads, teens, you beginning to get the picture? Lil' Kim's lyrics are bad for your mental health and, parents, even worse for the mind(s) of your teen(s). Let's listen in on more of Lil' Kim: *first 30 seconds: woman moans as beat slows down* (Chorus) x2*woman starts moaning again before the chorus* Message to teens: I'm your role model. I have no moral standards, and neither should you. Do whatever you feel you need to do to survive, regardless of the consequences. Indulge yourself in sexual promiscuity. If someone gets in your face, tear their face off! Say whatever you want in your songs, as long as it gets you on the Billboard charts. I have no self-esteem. I have no self-respect. Neither should you. Song: Custom Made (Give It
To You)
Young minds are weakened everyday by Lil' Kim's lyrical poison. Instead of offering teens a proactive, positive problem solving perspective, she offers them violence, drugs and indiscriminant sex---dead ends that kill. Instead of encouraging young people to be actively engaged in solving life's problems, she encourages them to contribute to those very problems, and to compound those problems by engaging in ruthless, mindless, soul-less, self-destructive actively, without regard for consequences. Instead of inculcating within young people, skills that will help teens gain positive attention from others, she encourages them to provoke others with threatening, disrespectful and untoward behavior. Instead of offering teens faith in the future, courage, integrity and faith in God, she offers them meaninglessness, emptiness and hopelessness. Instead of encouraging teens to stay in school and to strive for a bright and successful future career, she encourages the very behavior that leads teens to drop out of school, to become disengaged in living, and woefully engaged in destroying themselves, destroying others, and destroying the future. Seen enough? Had enough?
There's plenty more where that came from. Lil' Kim, a lil' poison goes
a long way. Get in line. Save teen minds. Stop her rhyme. Stop this
crime: Assault With a Deadly Woman!
