the Hits so Far but Don't Expect Too Much
Artist: Bradley Hathaway Label: Indie Time: 13 tracks Bradley Hathaway has toured with such acts as mewithoutYou, Blindside, The Chariot, and shared the stage with Norma Jean, among others. Hip-hop artist? Not quite. Bradley Hathaway is a poet, a slam poet, a spoken word artist. Touring all around and gaining a small or big or anywhere in between sized crowd, it doesn't matter for Bradley, he just wants to be an artist. Musing and musing and musing, Bradley Hathaway's "poems" talk about anything from the annoying hardcore kid, how he is a "manly man," joy, faith, desperation, a need, no, a want, to know Christ on a CD that shows a simple man that has decided to tour and create art to showcase in front of anyone who wants to listen. All the Hits so Far but Don't Expect Too Much is full of emotion and a person can feel it or visualize it. Some music starts out many of the poems/tracks to keep the listener entertained a little bit more. This is a spoke word release so OKEN WORD release, so... it may seem like a lot of talking, yet some people who are really NOT slam poetry or spoken word fans get into it better than they thought they would. There is an honesty, a spark for life, and a deep level of thinking that make Bradley Hathaway interesting. He can seem brash at times, but a person will hear NO swearing on this disc.
