Artist: Particle
Label: Or Music
Length: 10/55:45

Particle is a combination of several elements: jazz, prog rock, synthesizer, and keyboards.  Their style ranges from Steely Dan to Platypus to late night talk show bands.  The title track is a fun synth driven track, and reveals a slight Moog Cookbook influence.  The drummer is underutilized here, though. “Elevator” lets the guitar and bass do the driving, to wonderful results. “Below Radar” heads in entirely a different direction, coming across as late night radio jazz fare.

This band has a lot of ability they perform a variety of styles well, and could easily be envisioned as doing soundtracks for television or movies, as well as simply jamming on stage.
