What enhances your mood?  A big bowl of ice cream in front of your favorite television show?  A perfectly feng shuied room?  How about a new rap album?  Sivion, one of Illect Record’s latest additions, recently released his first official solo album, Mood Enhancement, a fresh rap album that takes listeners through  the life of the artist and provides a deeper look into God’s role in his life.  

As a rapper, Sivion is incredibly gifted.  He spits out rhymes with a smooth touch and natural ease. Furthermore, his voice has a unique sound to it, which makes the songs intriguing.  However, with such few melodies to help carry the album, I found the songs to sound quite similar and a bit repetitive.  None-the-less, Sivion is very good at what he does and _Mood Enhancement_ portrays his rapping and lyrical creativity in a very positive light. 

According to an interview with Aphire Magazine posted on his website, Sivion commented: “On Mood Enhancement, you will be taken on a twisting turning, hand-held journey through the depths of my heart. More so than every before, you will be able to really hear my jazz background and my love for music. It will not be your typical Boom Bap, your typical Poetic, your typical Christian, etc. [and is] guaranteed to be pleasing to the ear!”
