In his new digital-only single, he offers hope in the wake of ruin, proclaiming "she will rise again." Penned shortly after Katrina’s devastation, this song is available exclusively from John Michael’s website for .99 cents.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Mercy Corps to benefit hurricane and earthquake victims. This is a non-profit founded by Dan O’Neill to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression around the world. They have provided over $830 million in assistance to people in 80 nations. More than 91% of their resources are allocated to programs that directly assist those in need.

The song sounds like a modern-day offering from Mason Proffit or the Talbot Brothers. It continues the sound found on Monk Rock, John Michael Talbot’s last release. For those who haven’t heard John Michael lately, he has once again picked-up his electric guitar. This is captivating mid-tempo folk rock with Talbot Brothers style harmonies and a full band sound.
