Amusing Artist: Chris Rice Label: INO Records Time: 11 tracks/ 43:32 When he first released Deep Enough to Dream on Rocketown in 1997, people began to sit up and take notice of Chris Rice, a new singer-songwriter on Michael W. Smith's label. They noticed his simple writing style and voice. Over the years, Rice has continued to impress with songs that are simple and yet paradoxically deep. He has also taken risky steps by releasing two instrumental albums Living Room Sessions: Hymns and Living Room Sessions Christmas. 2005 saw Rice step away from the label that he had known for his career and join Monroe Jones' Eb+Flo Records. Amusing is his first album with this label and Chris Rice has not missed a beat in the transition. This new album still features Rice at his best with lyrics that make the listener think. Highlights of the project include Rice's first love song, "When Did You Fall" and the fun "Tick Tock." Chris Rice may have changed labels but this is still the same artist that his fans have grown to know and love. Burton Wray 3/18/2006
