Retrograde EP
Artist: Half Zaftig
Label: Wonky Records
Length: 5/24:10

Half Zaftig is Seattle native Yogi's new band.  Farley and bandmates Lizzy Daymont (bass), and Pete Johnston (drums) give us four songs from Yogi's first two discs, and a bonus: a cover of the King's X song "Freedom."

"Firefly," "Throw Me a Bone," and "You Fell" are as strong as ever, revealing that Farley's new band as on a par with his previous releases.  Half Zaftig could fill a spot in the melodic rock/metal/prog gap that seems to exist for American bands under the age of 50.  Hopefully, they will pick up where they left when their debut CD arrives.
