And
So It Is
Artist: Jontez Label: Soul2Seoul Length: 49:30 Texas born/California based Jontez' first solo project, And So It Is... comes after a lot ministry with the likes of Bishop T.D. Jakes and, more notably, the multi-platnum group God's Property. Jontez also spent time in the hip-hop ensemble Mankynd, which became the catalyst for him to branch out individually. The result is And So It Is..., an album full of faith-driven songs that celebrate life and humanity. A flavorful blend of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and Latin influences, the album shows off Jontez' range of stylistic diversity. Themes include Jontez journey of faith with all the potholes and temptations, living and touring round the church, family life, ministry burnout ,and the challenge of reaching a lost world. Although the album is nicely written, wonderfully produced and Jontez is in fine voice, And So It Is.. doesn't seem to have the "IT" that will make it rise above so much of the similar sounds coming out of your radio every day. Not necessarily ordinary, but typical. Bob Felberg 2/3/2006
