The Journey Continues...
Artist: Sojourn
Label: Hammster Wheel
Length: 34:09

Michigan band, Sojourn seems to have it all going on. Dynamite vocals by Adam Parmenter, better than average songs, (credited to the whole band) a definite Americana, acoustic driven jamband sound-all underpinned by the melodic punch of Tim Hamm's bass. The band works well as a team and have a cohesive sound.

Lyrically they offer a strong view of what it is to live a Christian life-ups and downs. Parmenter rattles off a wonderful autobiographical look at life in "Days Like These." The 2:31 length of the song almost makes you miss the importance of what he is saying.  Still very engaging. "There is Hope'-written after 9/11-features a melodic chorus the begs to be replayed."Bobble Head man" and "Power" deal with the futility of modern culture. Relistening is a must,but---

So what's missing on The Journey Continues..?  Production and arrangement. Sojourn does have all the pieces. With a top notch producer and a few tweaks here and there, this album would really shine.
