After the first three tracks "Take Me Away," "Dead End World," and "Ghost Town" wallop you up-side-da-head with the most exuberant music that you have celebrated in years, you stand face to face with the Stones "Wild Horses"-like "I've Been Beat." This song is loaded with emotional stop-you-in-your-tracks truth. I tried all sorts of ways to describe it, but suffice it to say that "I've Been Beat" is as important song as I've heard in a long time. Rockabilly-about with "The Word Became Flesh, " and the fun "Davey Jones Locker."
All I can say is amazing. Truly poetic and inspirational combining social commentary with scriptural values. Best since early Altar Boys/LSU/Ramones.
