Tresa Jordan
Artist:  Tresa Jordan
Label: South River Road
Time: 36:45

Buttery smooth vocals wrap themselves around solid bluegrass country sounds. Tresa Jordan sounds like a country girl who took off to chase her dream, and while she's thankful that she got to follow her dream, she wishes she could get back home to the simple life she loves and misses.

Jordan sings beautifully. She has a way reminiscent of barefoot Deana Carter. It feels like you could just walk right up to her and share a piece of apple pie.

The lyrics tell stories of simple country life spent with loving family. "Angels Cry" is a sad song about infidelity and love lost, but found again in the eyes of a newborn baby. "Dancin' on Daddy's" brought tears to my eyes as I thought of my own baby girl. Beautifully written and executed.

An overview of the musician credits reveals quite a group of heavy hitters. Barry Bales has performed with Alison Krauss & Union Station since 1990 and has appeared on albums by Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless among others. Wanda Vick has done studio recordings for Bill Gaither, Uncle Kracker, and Deryl Dodd. Larry Franklin [former member of Asleep At The Wheel; has recorded for Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Chely Wright, among others] Ken Lewis (Phil Keaggy, Steve Hindalong, Charlie Peacock) played percussion.   Tammy Rogers [on two songs - recording credits include Randy Scruggs, Jim Lauderdale, Patty Loveless among others].
