Artist: The Turning Label: RKT Time: 46:12 Here's a rare thing today. A band that right out of the box tells you that they have a mission “To influence people through our music and daily lives to love God more passionately.” The Turning don't really break any new ground here musically, but they do a great job of turning out a good album in that pseudo-acoustic praise-rock genre that has saturated the market in the past few years. ¾ of the group were members of their church P&W teams before starting a band. The summation is a sound very similar to a light version of Switchfoot. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not earth shattering. These songs are ready for a large arena worship event, CCM radio, or your acoustic youth set. Justin Wright 09/19/2006
