Arbors - The Very Best of the Arbors (last updated 9/20/07)

The Arbors were lifesavers for me. Their soft rock, jazzy, middle of the road sound was cutting edge perfect for those easy listening stations that my parents had on the car radio. 

A rousing, fun-filled final bow from Stuart, McGinniss & Co. 

This disc will be a favorite with pre-teen and middle-school aged girls & their soccer moms. 

All in all, there isn’t one weak song on Baby 81. If you haven’t heard of these guys, give them a try. Maybe you’ll have a V8 moment too.

An album aimed at a CCM audience that's just a bit more than a typical CCM album.

OK, these guys seem to have it all.

 Salvation In Lights may be the album of the year.

It has been two years since the last album release by Pastor Richie Furay and twenty eight years since the last release to the mainstream market by this rock n roll legend.

This was my first exposure to Glenn's music. I am amazed that a musician of his caliber has escaped my attention. 

Kane Welch Kaplin is an intuitive, rhythmic collection.

These songs stand alone as poems in their own right (even without the music) – which can’t be said of a lot of today’s visually-dependant music. 

Once upon a time there was an amazing group that went by the name "Spinoza."

Mae are currently one of the emo/underground genre’s heroes. 

The girls have surrounded themselves by some of Boston's greatest musicians and the result is an album of the highest quality.

Her lyrical twists, memorable tunes, thoughtful songs and Cyndi Lauper vocal style, as well as her honesty, make Nordeman a singer worth hearing.

So to sum it up, what you have here is the near perfect country rock record.

Over the Rhine consistently show what the best independent music is all about.

As indie as it gets, Plumbline rely on word of mouth and live shows to sell their CDs, which has worked so far to the tune of 32,000 discs sold. 

Move over Hannah Montana and High School Musical 2 and get a ready for a blast of pureNRG

Jonathan Rundman is the King of Lutheran music, an even more obscure sub-genre of CCM.  This is in itself a darn shame. 

I could have swore that I was the one person who knew the most about obscure bands with a dark mysterious past just popping out from nowhere.

Sticks And Stones represents all things 77’s to me. 

Messianic praise and worship with a wonderful pop sensibility

Some smooth '70’s style groove music in the back fronted by a deep message,

I am sure that as a member of a crew like deepspace5 we are sure to see more solo albums from Sivion.

All total the artist known as “Boney Soprano” has definitely served us up a tall order of street style lyrical hip-hop, to keep our heads ringing for hours. 

Ty Tabor's solo discs have taken on a recognizable formula over the last ten years or so: fantastic guitar work, talented guest musicians.

Talent-wise, they're not bad. The album is loaded with harmonies and big buildups to choruses, but you've heard it all before. 

Alternative rock with a bit of ‘80’s metal flair.

Marvin Winans’ first solo effort, Alone But Not Alone, definitely stands apart from the crowd…
