Seventh Day Slumber return in hard-rocking form with Finally Awake, the bands third release on BEC Records.  SDS does what they do well on Finally Awake, and what they do is provide solid meat and potatoes Christian rock (with a wee bit o' hardcore screaming) served up in 11 well-produced arena rockers that point to faith, the father, and the struggles of life.   This is rock radio friendly fare with a message that states a cry of the heart without sounding preachy.  Frontman Joseph Rojas is in fine vocal form (especially on the standout cut "My Only Hope" which also features a kick-booty guitar solo from Jeremy Holderfield), and the songs fit Rojas's vocal style nicely.  Fans of rock radio staples Staind, Three Doors Down (who SDS shares producers with), and Nickelback will love Finally Awake.
