One Man’s Trash Artist: Just Me Label Illect Recordings This next album is the brain child of Just Me, former member of the re-known Solseekers, whose music has at one point “surpassed” the likes of well known artists such as Silkk the Shocker, and Q-tip on mp3.com hiphop charts. After leaving that group he started solo work, and after making several mistakes in his early career, he rose to the challenge of starting fresh, with a newfound energy, that he has brought to this record, and also brought to his new group project “The Scribbling Idiots” crew. His list of talents include working in the studio with such legends as: Masta Ace, LMNO, 4th Disciple of the Wu-Tang, The Tunnel Rats, Future Shock, and others, as well as performing on stage with such greats as Mars Ill(my personal fave), Living Legends, KJ-52, P.O.D., LA Symphony, and others. All of which have influenced his sound. When I put this album in and started listening, I was immediately taken to a place where I felt real familiar. The sound is unique, yet it is definitely influenced by many of the greats in lyrical hip-hop, both secular and Christian alike. His beats are clean and bouncy, and the lyrics laced with his vocal style are definitely powerful. He talks about how his music is all he has, and he does all he can to be the best he can be. I think he will have no problem reaching the top. This album is also ready for your purchase. Check it out at www.justmehiphop.com, www.illect.com. I.H.S. Rev MC
