Lightning Strikes Twice…Again Vol. 2 is, again, an appropriate namee for this sampler, as the music involves new and re-released songs from the catalog of various Christian Metal bands.  The songs are of various styles and quality.  Styles range from thrash, techno, melodic metal to classic rock sounds.  Mostly studio tracks, there are a few live tracks mixed in for variety.

The bargain price makes this an easy disc to recommend.  While the tracks are not all great, every rock fan will find something to enjoy on this sampler.  Beware, though, the whole idea is for you to turn-around and get the full recordings.  My personal favorites include cuts from Emotion, Servant, and Circle of Dust.

From my various other reviews here at the Tollbooth, I can tell you that Retroactive Records delivers quality discs & packaging.  So if this sampler has something to your liking, go ahead and get the full album.  Support small, independent, niche markets and the labels that go about their business properly.
