Secrets of the New Explorers (EP)
Artist: Glen Phillips
Label: Unami Music
Length: 6/20:02

Here's a quickie themed EP from one of the best vocal talents in music today.  Based on the idea of interspace travel, Phillips lets his inner geek out for six songs.  "Solar Flare" is centered around the plot of the childrens' book "Goodnight Moon", but oddly, speaks of things disappearing into a ball of fire.

"Return to Me" is ethereal, "Spirit of Shackleton" may well be about a failed space mission, and "Space Elevators" has an interesting guitar line.  Strictly a DIY affair, Secrets offers the hardcore Phillips fan a quick snack until the next full length affair.  The only real question is which project that will be – Mutual Admiration II, a yet unnamed project with Garrison Starr and Neilson Hubbard, or another solo project?
