Breaking Through (ep)
Artist: Godspeed

It is hard not to pigeon hole a style, but modern worship-oriented rock best describes this EP. This does not take away from overall impression I have of Godspeed, which is solidly produced and quite listenable, without being cheesy.

Casey May and Dave Crawford share lead vocal duties and do an admirable harmony. The other four members handle the background bed aptly with a generous amount of creative instrumentation sprinkled throughout.

One thing I hoped for was more half an album. You just start enjoying it, and it feels like you just got a taste.

I have listened to and been a part of some incredible worship in my walk with God. There is just so much of it out there being marketed now, that it is hard to stand out in the crowd. I just hope Godspeed does not try to latch onto the current flavor of the moment.
