These guys RAWK! I have not put this disc down since getting it in the mail. Thoroughly, this is for the educated listener of strong alternative music. In a saturated market, this statement is not easy to make any longer. Very unique vocals, guitar tones, both rhythmic and solo, and solid production make the entire Son Of Avery’s Mr. Wingo a big time rival to any modern radio song currently charting.

I am unsure of what stands out more: the vocals or the guitar. Either way, these guys are poised to capture the attention of critics and fans alike. If this is their debut, and they keep progressing in their sound, there is nothing standing between them and getting noticed, but proper advertising.

Standout tracks include, but are not limited to, “Doubting Thomas,” “Educated Man, “25, 26.” and “Brain Malfunction.”

There is little to tweak or improve upon, other than no lyric sheet provided. Alas, I am forced to listen closer to the product, which can only be a good thing when the ride is this fun.
