If you think all clowns are happy people, think again. In this horror flick, Mr. Jingles (John Anton) is a psychotic maniac clown who slashes right and left. (Think Halloween combined with It here). Just when you observe that the clown is out for the count---he isn't---and such is the storyline of Mr. Jingles by Todd Brunswick.

Mr. Jingles begins with someone taping a video. It is Mr. Jingles preparing to murder the Nelson family. He is almost finished when the police arrive and Mr. Jingles is thought to have escaped after being shot and thrown into the trunk of a police car. Guess again. Apparently, he died after falling into a muck-filled hole. One person from the Nelson family survived, little Angela.  Fast forward and Angela (April Canning) is now a traumatized adult. The television reality show, “Homicidal Maniacs” wants to have her make an appearance at Mr. Jingles old home, which may be haunted. He is supposed to have killed at least 30 people. As one person says, “Compared to him, Gacy, Dahmer, they were losers.“

Hosts Tom (Jim Lewis) and Miranda (Virginia Bryant) get Angela to appear on the show and at the house. Two and two still make four, so by the time everyone meets there, equipment and all, the body count starts to rise. Mr. Jingles is on the prowl and not so dead, after all.

The set design for Mr. Jingles is good, so is the cinematography, plus the location and bringing the audience into the story. However, the dialogue is stilted and the only people who seem natural are Jim Lewis as Tom Reeser one of the television show hosts, and Tevis R. Marcus as J.B., a cameraman. John Anton is over-the-top as Mr. Jingles. All in all, Mr. Jingles is a horror film with plenty of gore, which may satisfy some fans who just know that when a group of people gather at an old house near some woods, something bad will happen.
