Apocalypse The Soundtrack
Artist: Various
Label: Straightway
As we approach the second millennium, the headlines on a daily basis
report the catastrophes expected to hit the computer world.
The Apocalypse Caught in the Eye of the Storm, a movie produced
by Peter and Paul Lalonde, offers a fictional, yet Biblically accurate
account of the rapture and its aftermath. This is the soundtrack
to that film. It is a compilation of songs which reflect on the hope
we have as Christians. It features some of the top Christian artists of
the day. Ray Boltz's title cut is the only one of the songs that
is really new, the rest have appeared on the various artists' individual
albums. The cuts are:
"Apocalypse...Caught in the Eye of the Storm" - Ray Boltz
"If Loving God was a Crime" - Big Tent Revival
"Love's Been Following You" - Twila Paris
"A Time Such as This" - Phillips, Craig and Dean
"Picture Perfect World" - Avalon
"Serve the Lord" - Carman
"No Better Place" - Steven Curtis Chapman
"Band of Survivors" - Twila Paris
"Tribulation" - Charlie Daniels
"We are Waiting" Geoff Moore & the Distance
"He's Alive" - Don Francisco
"He's Coming Soon" - BeBe and CeCe Winans
Boltz's song seeks to capture the urgency of making a decision
to follow God now, and he's done a good job. It's probably my favorite
song of his to date. It is definitely one of the highlights on this album,
but there are many other great songs here. "He's Alive" by Don Francisco
alone makes this worth purchasing. Since we know not the hour, you might
want to grab this release before the end.
