I thought this was going to be another Starflyer 59-kind of band, but it wasn't really. The production (by Randy Rose!) is pretty sloppy, on purpose I think, with sort of a live feel to it. Some of the songs are in the heavy sludge-rock vein of Kyuss and Fu Manchu, but there are also less heavy garage-pop/indie rock tunes and even a few acoustic tracks. Strange lyrics--you'll have to read/hear them for yourself. I can't yet figure out if I like these guys or not. -----Josh Spencer
