A sample of Data's voice from Star Trek: The Next Generation  - "Perhaps you would like some music?" - kicks this disc off, before this South African three-piece brings in the keyboards and drum machines, and we hit euro-pop territory.

These guys have suddenly appeared in the British market over the past year, with two or three releases and a summer festival  tour.  I am, however, a little puzzled as to why they seem so popular; their music sounds to me like UK mainstream music around 4 or 5 years ago (something which Christian music is often accused of, I know).

The vocals are occasionally a little off (I especially didn't warm to the first track), but to be fair to them, there are some nice harmonies, and the actual presentation is good.  It's just not in the same realm as Goldie, Roni Size, The Prodigy, or even UK Christendom's own Psalmistry in terms of the cutting edge of mainstream dance music.

Fans of sample and keyboard-based euro-pop (think Sozo, 2 Unlimited etc.) will like this disc's strong melodies and credible euro-sound,  but anyone looking for anything new in the way of dance music may be rather disappointed.
