Rhythm Releases New Album
Named "The Forward Concept."
It has been 2 and half years in the making and it finally is going to see
the light of day. If you haven't figured it out by now, Rhythm's
new CD "The Forward Concept" will be released on September 17th at the
Curtain Club. It feels like a "kid" to us because we gave so much
time, effort and energy towards making it perfect. We really wanted
to deliver the very best we possibly could. As there manager I can
see where this album is going to take Rhythm to the next level. If you
think that you know Rhythm, you have nothing but a small taste of what
they are now. This album is definitely a milestone, and a career
maker. I encourage everyone from far and near to come to the Curtain
Club on the 17th to celebrate the release of "The Forward Concept."
If for some reason you can't make it to the CD release party, make sure
you keep checking out the website and see if they will be coming to a city
near you. The cd is now for sale at www.rhythmonline.com (but will
ship on the 17th).

UHQ News
Not many shows to choose
from here. Erik is slowing down his performing schedule to work on
new tunes, teaching high school, and--most importantly--being a dad.
He and Jeremy Szopinski
will be playing an intimate theater show in Mpls at the Bryant-Lake Bowl.
For those who have never been there--it's a first-rate small theater, oddly
connected to a bowling alley and an excellent bar and restaurant.
There's nowhere else on earth quite like it. We suggest making an
evening of the show--come for dinner, bowling and then the musical performance!
Erik and Jeremy will be showcasing a slew of new tunes as well.
Additionally, shows at the
BLB are all-ages and non-smoking. Information about buying advance
tickets (we recommend it) can be found at: http://blb.ciceron.com/calendar.asp.
Longtime friend of UHQ, Jerree
Small, will open the night with a set of her wonderful, catchy tunes.
Recently, you might have heard her performing on Garrison Keillor's Prairie
Home Companion when they were in Duluth.
The next day the two of
them will head to Menomonie, WI to open the one-day Yeshuapolooza festival.
They will perform at noon, and the festival is free.
Hopefully, we'll see you
there!

Caedmon's Call News
Hello Friends of Caedmon's
Call,
We hope you've been enjoying
your summer. These past few weeks, we've been able to take a little break
after several busy months of travel and recording. It's been nice to be
home and has given us some time to reflect on all our recent experiences
and start preparing for those ahead of us...
Mark Your Calendars!
Perhaps you've heard the
news that on October 12th, we'll be releasing our new full-length project,
Share the Well.
In the past, you have probably
heard us mention our excitement over an album we're working on or the significance
a particular project holds for us. While that has definitely been true
many times throughout our career, we are without a doubt entering some
uncharted territory with Share the Well... a different kind of excitement,
and a new level of connection to our work.
To say we're excited about
Share the Well and what it represents doesn't really explain our feelings
about this project. Actually, we think the songs and the stories behind
them will speak for themselves. We are so anxious for you to hear this
album and hope you will find it as inspiring as we do.
Cool New Videos
If you haven't visited our
website recently (www.caedmonscall.com), we've added some new behind-the-scenes
details, including a video that features music from Share the Well, our
commentary on the project, plus some incredible footage from our travels.

Fall Tour 2004
The upcoming fall tour will
be a something a bit new for us too. We've invited seven musicians (a few
from each country we visited) to come on the road with us and share a bit
of their lives and music with you. It will be unlike any concert experience
we've attempted before, but we think there's no better way for you to understand
these songs than to meet these remarkable people for yourself. Also on
the tour, our friend & singer/songwriter Jeremy Casella (www.jeremycasella.com),
will be joining us as opening act. New tour dates are being added often
so please keep an eye on our tour page for more details. *See current schedule
below.

Help Promote A Show!
If we're coming to your
area and you'd like to help promote a concert this fall, we're looking
for enthusiastic volunteers to serve as street reps. In short, that means
we'll provide you with ideas and a bunch of materials you can use to promote
the concert around your town, church, and college campus. In exchange,
we'll give you free admission to the show, a signed photo of the band,
and will appreciate you immensely.
To apply to be a street rep,
simply visit our tour page, find a show within 50 miles of your house,
and follow the link to fill out a simple questionnaire.

Thanks for taking a moment
to let us catch up with you! We look forward to seeing you this fall...

Tim Hughes Releases When
Silence Falls This Week Amidst Critical Acclaim
(Nashville, TN) August 26,
2004 - EMI CMG/Worship Together lead worshipper, Tim Hughes, releases his
critically acclaimed sophomore album, When Silence Falls, this week.
When Silence Falls, the
second album from Tim Hughes, finds the British worship leader happily
advancing toward postmodern rock territory. So subtle is the disc in its
artistry that even at close to an hour of music, the end seems to come
too soon a sign that Hughes has succeeded in bringing his listeners somewhere
special. - CCM
When Silence Falls consolidates
the young UK singer and songwriters reputation as one of the most accessible
and accomplished artists in the todays worship arena. Simply put,
if you liked Here I Am To Worship youre going to love When Silence Falls.
- Worship Leader Magazine
When Silence Falls was produced
by Nathan Nockels of Watermark and mastered by Chris Blair at Abbey Road
Studios. The album features the Prague Symphony Orchestra on "Consuming
Fire," "Name Above All Names," "Whole World In His Hands" and "When The
Tears Fall," performing string compositions and arrangements by Keith Getty.
The album also features
Tim Hughes song Beautiful One, which is currently a Top 20 multi-format
hit and climbing for Fervent Records group By The Tree. The song
lands this week at No. 17 and No. 20 on R & Rs AC Indicator and CHR
charts respectively, while also being named PDAdvisors second and third
highest advancer for CHR and AC respectively. Beautiful One is further
No. 11 and climbing on CRWs AC and No. 15 on the CHR/POP chart.
In addition to By The Tree,
Jeremy Camp recorded Beautiful One for his 2004 release as the song further
captures No. 360 on the Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI)
U.S. chart and No. 144 on the Canadian chart, significant for a song that
has not been released on an album until this year. CCLI is an organization
that monitors the music played in churches across the US and various countries
around the world.
At 26, Tim Hughes has already
led worship for literally tens of thousands of youth across the globe for
the past seven years while on staff with Soul Survivor.

Joy Williams Joins First
Lady Laura Bush, Angela Bassett And Cnns Bill Hemmer For National Underground
Railroad Freedom Center Dedication
(Cincinnati, Ohio)
August 25, 2004 - Joy Williams, multiple Dove Award nominee and Reunion
recording artist, closed the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
dedication ceremony Monday night with a soulful rendition of The Impossible
Dream. With the Freedom Center as her backdrop, Joy brought the crowd
to its feet.
I was both humbled and honored
to be invited to help commemorate the centers opening, noted Williams prior
to her performance. This museum is a tribute to the human spirit
and a reminder of where humanity must continue to battle.
During the 1800s, more than
one hundred thousand enslaved fugitives sought freedom through the Underground
Railroad. Many of the fugitive slaves fled across the Ohio River the symbolic
gateway to freedom. Situated in Cincinnati, on the banks of the Ohio,
the Freedom Center will celebrate the legacy of courage and multicultural
cooperation embodied in the story of the Underground Railroad, as well
as educate the public about the historic and continuing struggle to establish
universal freedom in both the United States, and around the world.
Bill Hemmer, co-host of CNNs
American Mornings served as master of ceremonies, and actress Angela
Bassett (Waiting to Exhale) was also on hand to show support of the centers
dedication.
David Ruiss Every Move
I Make, Releases This Week
Worship Leader Series, Vineyard
Voices, Launches This Week With 11-Song Collection From Ruis
(Nashville, TN) August 25,
2004 Vineyard worship leader David Ruis releases Every Move I Make this
week, launching the Vineyard Voice Series, a series that will feature key
worship leaders who are making significant contributions to the modern
worshipping church.
In a time when it's popular
to idolize superstar heroes, it's refreshing to be able to follow the example
of a servant leader, one whose daily intention is to live out the truths
of the Kingdom of God, says Marc Pusch, General Manager, Vineyard Music
Canada. Having known and worked with David since the early 80's,
I have witnessed the incredible impact of his songs and his message as
he has served the Church worldwide. Every Move I Make fuses the best
of David's classics with a current sound that no doubt will breathe life
into worship around the world.
With Every Move I Make,
Ruis offers 11 brand new recordings of his well-known worship songs, including
Every Move I Make, You Are Worthy Of My Praise, Mercy Is Falling and Whom
Have I But You, plus two, brand new, previously unreleased bonus tracks.
The CD is also enhanced with chord charts and overhead masters for each
song. Every Move I Make showcases Ruiss lyrical style with songs
birthed out of an influential life of planting churches worldwide and ministering
to the homeless and addicted. Impacting people in tens-of-thousands
of worship services worldwide, seven songs on the album are featured in
the CCLI Top 500, a chart that monitors the music played in churches across
the US and various countries around the world.
"Getting the new CD, Every
Move I Make, finally together is a great feeling, says Ruis. Over
the years, several of these songs have been scattered over various compilation
and introduction CDs, but it's great to get it all in one place.
Also, it's been awesome to capture versions of the songs that reflect more
of where I've been in my musical journey over the last several years."
David and his wife Anita
and their 4 children currently reside in the Los Angeles area. David
has been involved with church planting and worship leading for several
years, his latest adventure in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where he built
an inner-city church and an addict recovery community that they led for
over 7 years. Several churches in Central Canada and the nations
of Nepal and India (North Eastern area) have been established under David's
role as a Regional Overseer with the Canadian Vineyard Churches.
At this point David is giving focus to music and the creative aspects of
his calling, which involve music production, writing and composition.
A burning passion for the Ruis family is the discovery of the integration
both theologically and practically of creative worship expression with
a lifestyle that interfaces with the issues of poverty and social injustice.

enjoyment to millions of fans and we are honored to showcase those talents
during our convention.
Entertainers scheduled to
perform at the 2004 Republican National Convention include:
Brooks & Dunn: Kix Brooks
and Ronnie Dunn are not only the most successful duo in country music history;
they are the biggest-selling musical duo of all time. Together, they've
sold 27 million albums, scored 25 #1 hits, won dozens of awards and become
one of the most consistent country music headliners today. Brooks &
Dunn issued their debut album, Brand New Man, in 1991, and it was an out-of-the-box
smash. The tracks, My Next Broken Heart, Neon Moon, and Boot Scootin'
Boogie all hit number one on the country charts. Brand New Man eventually
went on to sell more than six million copies and made the duo into country
superstars. Since then, theyve kept up their winning streak with
a dozen more albums and 22 additional #1 hits. Brooks & Dunn have won
17 Academy of Country Music Awards, including 3 Entertainer of the Year
awards; two American Music Awards, both for Favorite Band, Duo or Group;
two Grammy Awards; 12 Country Music Association awards, ten of which have
been Vocal Duo of the Year; two Billboard Entertainment Awards; five Blockbuster
Entertainment Awards; seven TNN/Music City News awards; and dozens more.
Lee Ann Womack: With over
four million records sold, Lee Ann Womack is one of Country Musics biggest
stars. Born and raised in Jacksonville, TX, Womack followed her love of
music to Nashville's Belmont University. Within a year, she signed
a recording contract and released her debut single in 1997. In 2000, the
title single off Womacks third album I Hope You Dance rocketed to the top
of the country charts, propelled her album to No. 1 and crossed over to
become a pop sensation as well. Something Worth Leaving Behind appeared
in mid-2002 and Womack moved into Country mainstream for good. Womack has
also branched out into acting. In early 2003, she earned a small part on
the CBS drama The District. Her numerous accolades include a 2003 Grammy
Award for Best Country Collaboration for her duet with Willie Nelson on
Mendocino County Line, a 2002 Country Music Award (CMA) for Vocal Event
of the Year, a 2001 CMA for Female Vocalist of the Year, two 2000 CMAs
for Single of the Year and Song of the Year, the 1998 American Music Awards
prize for Favorite New Artist and the Academy of Country Musics Top New
Female Vocalist Award in 1997.
Jaci Velasquez: At
23-years old, Jaci Velasquez is one of the worlds most successful and beloved
singers. Velasquez won Female Pop Album of the Year at the Latin Billboard
Awards and she has received two Latin Grammy nominations, three Grammy
Nominations, five Latin Billboard Award nominations, and six Dove Awards.
She has sold over four million albums, garnered three RIAA certified Platinum
recordings, sixteen #1 radio hits and more than 50 magazine covers.
Velasquez began her career at age 14, singing with her family in Houston,
TX. With her first Spanish-Language album Llegar a Ti and her record-breaking
Heavenly Place, Jaci, of Mexican, French and Spanish ancestry, surpassed
the expectations of many, becoming a new and imposing presence in Latin
music. Velasquez also stared in her first film, Chasing Papi, this
year and released her ninth album, Milagro. To further solidify
Jaci Velasquezs rising star, Pepsi has chosen her to be their new Latin
spokesperson.
Third Day: Atlanta-based
rockers Third Day have garnered four gold albums, a platinum album, a 2003
Grammy, a 2003 American Music Award nomination and 21 of the Gospel Music
Association's Dove Awards. Their most recent studio album, Wire, debuted
at No. 12 on Billboards Top 200 Albums chart and No. 1 on the Nielsen SoundScans
Top Christian Albums chart in the first week of its May release.
Their current single, I Believe recently charted at No. 1 on the Christian
Adult Contemporary (AC) radio chart, bringing the band to a career total
of twenty-one No. 1 songs at Christian radio. They are currently
preparing for the second leg of their highly successful Live Wire Tour
that will hit 43 U.S. cities this fall. Third Day member Tai Anderson
participated in a web chat on the convention web site this summer. Read
the transcript online at www.gopconvention.com/contents/goplive/chats/.
Dexter Freebish: Since forming
almost 10 years ago, Austin-based quartet Dexter Freebish has developed
a reputation as a hard-working, crowd-pleasing pop band. Signed to Capitol
Records in March 1999, Leaving Town won Song of the Year in the John Lennon
Songwriting Contest, sponsored by EMI Music Publishing, Maxell, and Yamaha.
The track was chosen from over 27,000 entries and voted on by more than
60 celebrities; including Elton John, Wyclef Jean, Foo Fighters, Brooks
and Dunn, Barenaked Ladies, Paula Cole, and George Clinton, among others.
In September 2000, Dexter Freebish issued their debut album A Life of Saturdays.
The band struck a chord again in 2003, winning the John Lennon songwriting
competition for a second time with the song Prozak from their second album,
Tripped Into Divine.
Darryl Worley: Country star
Darryl Worley knew he had written something powerful when he created Have
You Forgotten? The song came about as a result of the singers USO tour
of Afghanistan over the 2002 Christmas holidays. He was profoundly moved
by the dedication of the American Armed Forces stationed there and decided
he needed to salute those men and women in some way when he returned home.
Born in Pyburn, TN, Worley earned a degree in biology from Northern Alabama
University. Later, Worley left a lucrative business to pursue a career
in music. His traditional country music caught the attention of DreamWorks
Nashville, which released his debut album Hard Rain Dont Last in 2000.
The title track to his follow-up album, I Miss My Friend, climbed to No.
1 in 2002. Capturing the anger and frustration of many Americans regarding
the war, the song catapulted to No. 1, and Worley released the album Have
You Forgotten? in 2003. He has since become an outspoken advocate of the
military.
Gracie Rosenberger:
Gracie's inspiring personal story includes surviving a devastating, near-fatal
car accident in 1983, resulting in more than 65 operations over the ensuing
two decades and costing her the amputation of both legs. With numerous
television and print features to her credit, as well as a national speaking
and singing schedule, Rosenberger has inspired and entertained audiences
across the country. Whether in a school, church, singing for disabled children
in a hospital, or performing for wounded soldiers, her message is one of
perseverance and hope.
Donnie McClurkin: Growing
up in Amityville, NY, Grammy Award-winning gospel vocalist McClurkin found
a safe haven from a troubled home life in his church. It was there
he formed the McClurkin Singers with his siblings in 1979. Donnie
went on to form the New York Restoration Choir, who recorded the album
I Feel Well in 1989. In 1996, Donnie released his self-titled, debut
project on Warner-Alliance Records. Released August 2001, the album Live
in London and More quickly became a best seller and held the number one
spot on the gospel charts. Donnie McClurkin...Again, released March of
2003, won rave reviews. McClurkin won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary
Soul Gospel Album for the recording and took home the 2004 NAACP Image
Award for Gospel Artist Of The Year. McClurkin is currently Senor
Pastor at Perfecting Faith in Freeport, NY and is spearheading a grassroots
effort to bring about unity among churches throughout New York and New
Jersey.
Todays additions join a previously

Word Label Group Annouces
Staff Promotions
(Nashville, Tenn.) August
23, 2004 - Word Records has announced the promotion of three key executive
staff members in the company's A&R and marketing departments.
Former senior director of A&R Blaine Barcus has been named vice president
of A&R for Word, while former directors of product marketing Ronn Tabb
and Andy Peterson have both been named senior directors of product marketing
for the label group.
Barcus began working in the
music industry in 1996 as part of the management team for best-selling
artists Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman and Mark Schultz, before joining
Word as director of A&R in October 2001. During his tenure with
Word, Barcus has been involved in the creation of several of the label's
successful projects from Jaci Velasquez, Building 429, Across The Sky and
others. Barcus will continue to oversee projects for these artists,
as well as sign and develop several new artists next year. He also
serves as the Word Records representative for the WOW committee that selects
songs for inclusion on the highly-successful WOW compilation series.
"As we have continued to
reshape Word Records, Blaine has shown great skill in finding talent and
making great records," said senior vice president of A&R for Word Label
Group, Shawn McSpadden. "This is a well deserved promotion, and I
look forward to working with him for years to come."
In 2002, Tabb joined Word
Records as director of product marketing from his previous position as
director of marketing with Atlantic Records. Over his ten-year career,
Tabb has been a part of the careers of such platinum-selling artists as
P.O.D, Michael W. Smith, Third Day and Jaci Velasquez.
Formerly marketing director
for Rocketown Records, Peterson's career spans over ten years. He
joined Word Records as director of product marketing in October 2002, and
has developed marketing campaigns for such industry-leading artists as
Amy Grant and Point of Grace, in addition to 2004's best-selling WOW Worship
Red compilation project.
In their new positions, both
Tabb and Peterson will continue to interface with all internal departments
including A&R, radio, new media and creative services, in addition
to functioning as a primary interchange between the label, Word Distribution
and CBA market national retail accounts. The pair will also coordinate
all publicity and marketing efforts for the Word Label Group artist roster,
under the leadership of Word Records' senior vice president of marketing,
Mark Lusk.
"I'm pleased to see both
Ronn and Andy advance and assume more responsibility for Word Records'

Rebecca St. James:
Who Is "She?"
(Nashville, Tn.) -- August
20, 2004 -- REBECCA ST. JAMES' much anticipated new book release, "SHE,"
being published by Tyndale House, and still
more than two months from
its' official November 1st release date, will feel the first echo of its'
promotional heartbeat this weekend
at the World Pulse Festival
in South Bend, Indiana.
With pre-event crowd estimates
running as high as 50,000 attendees for the one day concert event this
Saturday, August 21st, Grammy winning St. James is the only "she"
performer in a major artist line-up that also includes all male counterparts
Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Petra, and Tait.
Her new book, "SHE," will
be introduced to consumers at the World Pulse Festival by way of a special
multi-level pre-release promotion by Tyndale House. The publisher
has devised an introduction roll-out campaign that leans heavily on the
drawing power of St. James as a major name artist in contemporary Christian
music. The book will be represented by an ambitious radio campaign of 60
and 30 second radio spots on Pulse FM. For visual branding, banners
of the "SHE" cover will hang onsite at the festival and a pre-release ad
for the book will appear in the official program being distributed at the
concert. With Rebecca's performance this Saturday will come the opportunity
to obtain her autograph on one of the thousands of special souvenir "album
flats" of the book being distributed free. The piece not only heralds
"SHE," but a special online contest being launched by Tyndale at Rebecca's
official website at www.rsjames.com
Those logging on can register
to win "SHE" bracelets custom designed to compliment the St. James book
project by the world famed Tiffany jewelers of New York.
"SHE"--an acronym for 'Safe,
Healthy, Empowered'-- is being termed a "where the rubber meets the road
guidebook to life as a 21st century woman." With its' candid views
on nine major areas of womanhood that address emotional, spiritual, and
physical wholeness rooted in a biblical foundation, the book is expected
to raise controversy--something the 27 year old Australian singer seems
to naturally attract. Just days ago popular entertainment newspaper
columnist Brad Schmitt of the Nashville Tennessean, following an interview
with Rebecca on the subject of the new book highlighted his well read 'Brad
About You' column with the headline "Rebecca St. James: "She Longs
To Be Barefoot and Pregnant!" The quote elicited a flurry of Letters
to The Editor--one of which made print, bannering the headline "Women Deserve
Respect From the Men They Love!" Never one to remain on the sidelines,
Ms. St. James wrote her own response letter to the editor to wit:
"What I would like known
is that in my book, 'SHE' which is being released later this year, I talk
about the positive aspects of the feminist movement. It has allowed
greater freedom for women, equal rights and greater opportunities than
we ever had before. However, there have been many harmful aspects
brought on by this movement as well. It has resulted in a largely
accepted opinion that a woman who is 'barefoot and pregnant' is unenlightened
and unempowered. Especially if she is serving her husband dinner!
I believe that marriage is a partnership and I definitely want to marry
a man who will help with household duties--which would include serving
me dinner at times!"
Earlier this year a quote
that St. James made to a Reuters interviewer in London stating that she
"felt sad" for pop icon Britney Spears for her negative role modeling,
impacted globally--landing Rebecca on scores of major media outlets from
CNN to the Washington Post to the Newindpress.com news site in New Delhi,
India. Her last book, "Wait For Me," reached the #1 spot on the CBA
Bestseller List for young adults with its' message of sexual abstinence
until marriage--a theme that the singer has challenged young people to
follow from concert stages all over the world. Her new book holds promise
of her continued outspokenness--this time with a battle cry for a "new
feminism" founded on biblical principals.
With "SHE" still two months
from reaching bookstore shelves, the promise is there that in the midst
of whatever controversy may be on the horizon, Rebecca St. James is up
to the challenge of once again encouraging women of her own generation
and beyond to "find their voice."

Note from Justin McRoberts
I was just sharing with
a friend this morning that the more I read about the conversations happening
in and around the church, with specific regards to the conversations about
who we are as God's people, the more I am encouraged about my place in
that conversation. That is what makes me excited about my fall schedule.
The summer provided some much needed down time, as well as some time to
be re-rooted in my church community at home. Amy and I have really enjoyed
being home, and even look forward to a day when our lives will be lived
out day to day here at home. But as of now, I am moved to leave again to
engage my family, the Church, in a conversation which I pray will open
our eyes to who we are not, who we are and what that means for our everyday
lives. I hope you join in on this journey. I look forward to seeing you
all very soon.
