Hollow
Artist: The Nobodys
Label: Independent
Time: 14 tracks/45:00 minutes

The first release by Nashville-based duo The Nobodys is a pleasant mix of upbeat tunes and ballads.  The guitars are almost totally acoustic, with the occasional electric guitar.  However, the effect is never raunchy in any sense.  More than anything, the Nobodys could fill in for Canadian group Hemingway Corner in a pinch, and if they threw in some Neil Young covers, it'd be hard to discern any stylistic differences.  Some of the standout tracks on this disc are their radio hit, "Talk About Love," "Shadowlands," "Slow," and "Even If," all which portray the central lyrical theme of the album:  God is faithful to us, caring, and forgiving.  Yet the lyrics stay away from pat cliches. And God's love is not a bad thing for an album to remind us of!
