Ska horns have given way to swing, and Skalleluia gives
way to BEC's Swing Praise album. This album will certainly set your
feet dancing. Time to celebrate with the Lord. While the release is well
produced by Gene Eugene and has some talented players (Mike Roe on guitar
was the only name I was familiar with), these songs are generally over-done.
Four of the songs already appeared on Skalleluia, such as, "Lord
I Lift Your Name on High," "He Has Made Me Glad," "More Precious Than Silver,"
and "Awesome God." On Skalleluia, they sounded fresh, but they don't
here. New material would have been a plus. In the meanwhile, however,
the party is in full swing.
